You will start with the key elements of drawing through two dimensional and three dimensional approaches. Learning different techniques to create tones and perspective. Moving from black and white to colour through pastel work, these key skills will help you to develop the foundation of your painting.

The course will then guide you through the traditional and contemporary values of painting, allowing you to develop your own visual language. In this 6 week course you will work on small size pieces, experimenting with techniques and approaches. Artist will be referenced throughout the course giving you the opportunity to understand various processes and how each artist has interpreted them. 

Even if you haven’t drawn since school, give it a go! This course is suitable for Beginners - Intimidates, all ages welcome.

What experience do I need? 

You can be a complete beginner or already have experience. Our tutor will take you step by step on all processes at a pace you're comfortable with.

What will I go home with? 

Over the course you will go home with a variety of drawings, pastel work and painted pieces. From development work to more finished pieces.

Do I have to bring any materials? 

We provide all materials.

What if I cant turn up to a class?

Unfortunately once payment has be made we can not give refunds to missed classes. We will always catch you up, even if you were unable to attend a class.

What if the course is cancelled? 

We reserve the right to cancel the course for any reason, this may be down to insufficient bookings etc. In the event of a cancellation we shall of course give you a full refund.
